So I called my doc today to find ou if I could schedule a 4d ultrasound if I paid for it to find out the sex of our baby. The secretary in the office told me they don't do the 4d u/s and they don't want me going anywhere else to get one eater bc the more ultrasounds you get the more harmful it is to your baby... Bc of radiation she said. Is this true?? I've heard of plenty of women getting them done.. I really want one too :(

Honestly I would go you obviously don't want to go every 2time weeks. But go! I think that ridiculous they told you no.

i would go! wats one extra ultrasound? im 22w2d nd so far ive had bout 4 ultrasounds nd still more to come... im seein a specialist thats why but still hhaha

You're not supposed to get a lot bc they can be harmful, however if I were you I would go!! As long as you aren't Getting them once a week or something crazy I don't think your baby will be in any danger from it!

How can they be harmful whenever extremely high risk women have to get them once a week near the end of their pregnancies? That woman obviously lied to you. I've had 4, and I'm almost 16 weeks. I went to an independant ultrasound company to get my 4D done to find out the gender early. They probably just told you not to go because the money isn't going in their pockets. I'd go get it done.

I had like 8 my last pregnancy, if it were dangerous, then you wouldn't get US's at all..that is ridiculous, I would ask your doctor about it first of all, because the secretary has NO place to be telling you such things, I would definitely do it. I got a 4d U/S done at 18 weeks with my gender U/S, the tech did it just for fun.
