traveling with new born.

So my family goes on vacation every yr and in april we are going on a cruise to jamaica. We are flying to miami and its a 2hr flight from my hometown. My baby would be a little over 4months, will this be a no no with a newborn not knowing how he will react and ear popping and crying disturbing other passengers?

We took my son to hawaii when he was 5 months its a 7 hour plane ride from where we live. There ears usually pop on take off abd landing so bring a soother with you and have baby tylenol handy. many people travel with newborns and kids nowadays so dont let it stop you from travelling. We had lots of kids on our flight and that was alnost 3 years ago. Have fun:) if u have any other queations feel feee to ask:)

I will be going on a cruise in January and my baby will be around 7 months, a lot of the cruise ships won't take a baby under 6 months , but if your already booked and they know then that's good :) as for the plane, I think I heard a pacifier helps with ear popping, but def ask your doctor!

There are lots of restrictions with things you can bring on planes including formula/milk so I personally would be concerned with that. Bottle or paci will help with ear popping. If you time it right you may be able to get baby asleep for the 2 hour flight. Sea sickness is a whole other issue there wouldn't be much you could do for baby. ship walls are very thin and rooms small no where for pack n play and if baby didn't feel good could be very noisy for other people. Cruise lines are different with child care most watch kids 2-12 yrs and charge by hour. Younger babies require parent present. Also Carnival requires minimum age to sail be 6 months. Personally I'd skip it and do something local there are a lot of unknowns.

I travled with my twins by myself on a plane Az to Fl for chinese new year when they where four months old. Its not the easiest thing to do, but its not impossible. Just beprepared for ears, and you habe to take baby out of the carseat or stroller if in one and that gets scanned separate. Also if doing formula you might want to look up the policy back then I just packed single serving premades from the store. This was 7 years ago mind you. Maybe ask your dr and see what he or she thinks. You also havd to worry about the recirculated air. I hope that helps some.

Well the headline says traveling with a baby. And I traveled with a 2 week old. So. Take your prenatal and don't be rude.

I think u should be okay as baby would still be young but, each child is different. I do howwver know that if u want aome "free" time on the ship, most ships don't watch kids until they are atleast 2 so, that'dbe the only bummer. I wouldn't trust them with my infant anyhow. My kids were forunate enough to never have gone to daycare!

I don't see how you could come to that conclusion but alright, go ahead and get snippy.  I was just pointing out that what you said wasn't helpful at all. You even said "but driving is diff from a plane", so please explain to me how that answers her questions.
Anywaysss... I hope someone answers your questions soon, misskee, because i was about to make a post about this too because i have a lot of family up north that are going to insist i visit.
