thanks you so much for your help. I am seeking to speak to my dr about this and maybe think about surgery.
Also your timing could just be off. Maybe try using ovulation prediction kits so you know the best time to try to conceive.
I had a heart shaped uterus too. It's actually called a bicornate uterus and the defect is called a septum. I have a 3 1/2 year old son which my dr says was a fluke. When my husband and I ttc #2 we ended up with 3 miscarriages because the embryo was implanting on the septum and would terminate at around 8 weeks. So several things could be happening. It could be that the embryo is implanting on the septum and terminating before you even know your pregnant or it may be blocking the fallopian tubes preventing the embryo from even reaching a healthy part of the uterus. I eventually opted to have surgery to correct it and am now 21 weeks. However now I will not be able to carry past 37weeks and must have a c section because contractions could rupture uterus. So there are other issues to consider if you choose to talk to your dr about that option. You should also find out the severity of the septum. That will help a lot. Mine was not extremely major but it was still causing issues but I have seen photos of some online that create 2 separate uterus' and they are still able to get pregnant and carry close to term. It just depends on where the embryo implants. The blood supply on the septum is not enough to support a baby past 8-9 weeks. But if it implants on the actual uterine wall there is a very good chance things could go well.
