ughh my dog got her lady cycle

Not pregnancy related but I feel HORRIBLE because my little girl is miserable :( I have diapers for her but where her tail goes some how she moves it so her vulva sticks out anyways and she just licks and licks and licks and im disgusted !!! I feel so bad but being hormonal im so grossed out , have any of you girls been through a heat with your puppy? How long does it last? Any tips to make her more comfortable? Pleaseeee any advice will help

I usually put a pad so her vagina won't stick out it kind of covers it. I put it from the inside blocking the hole of the diaper. Try to get her away from male dogs 2 if not it will last so much longer. You can clean her with wipes so she won't smell. Proud momma to 3yr old pup.

Yes we actually went to the vets yesterday to make an appointment for her to get fixed but they swabbed her and said its to late we have to wait till after her first heat. So yes she will be getting it done ASAP just feel for her :/

Is there a reason she's not fixed? That eliminates all that and will prevent cancer in the long run. Lots of rescues offer it free if you qualify if not they do it at a discount.

Getting her fixed we'll prevent a lot of unnecessary uncomfortableness for her.

My husky got Her cycle to. It isn't the first time she only gets it once a yr the beginning of Dec. Last year it lasted up untill Christmas. I no they can last up to 6 wks
