What exactly is a vaginal culture for at 36 weeks? My Dr. Doesn't explain anything to me. I had one earlier today, and it hurt like hell. I got home and it burned to urinate, and there was a little blood. I went a few hours later and there was a good amount, but only when I wiped. Now it's just barely there, but it still burns.
The check for Group B Strep and to ensure that you do not have an infection that can harm the baby of they are exposed during delivery. Bleeding after an eternal examine is normal but if you are concerned call your DR or maternity floor!!
I had 1 done at beginning of my pregnancy it hurt so bad but I did not Bleed from itit's to check for any infections irritation and cancer
