How far along before you start getting emotional?

My wife has been very emotional here in the past few days. She has went from sad, to happy to mad... a lot. We just found out a week ago. She's 6 weeks. Is this common?

I found out when I was 5 weeks and I'm now 17. I still get somewhat moody, but i know from the 5 weeks till about 10 weeks I was a disaster! I would cry over silly things and I would be very snappy with everyone! It especially got bad when I was tired.

You can be very emotional throughout the entire pregnancy

Lol I wish mine would take some of my symptoms! My husband was way excited with our first as well. He came to the baby showers and all! I feel it is a celebration for both mom and dad and both need to be included!

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. I already knew I was not just because of my missed period, but because I had been very moody. The smallest things annoyed the sh*t outta me. And one day I just cried and cried. I was a royal bi**h for like a week straight. But now I feel fine and not really moody anymore. I'll be 8 weeks on Thursday

Yeah that's really common. A lot of places will do an administrative appointment around 8 weeks to give you the run down on what to expect during your pregnancy, and then they'll have you come back at 10 weeks so she can have a physical and have her first ultrasound (:

I'm an excited first time dad, so I'm just as excited as she is. I took over the morning sickness for her for a few days.

Okay. Thanks to everyone for answering that for me. I'd go buy her some flowers, but she'd probably cry. Lol. Another thing, our obgyn won't see her until she's 8-10 weeks. Is that common?

Lol I was going to tell my husband in a cute way when I found out so I was laying in bed trying to think of ideas... He crawls in... "I think you are pregnant" I'm like wow, really I just found out 10 min ago! So I said "oh yes why's that?" Husband, "cuz you have been really b*tchy lately." So yes. I guess it can happen way early!

It can start right away. Some women suspect they're pregnant because they suddenly feel super emotional about things that they normally wouldn't. My friend's husband was like, "babe, take a pregnancy test, you're acting kinda different" and she was preg. (not recommending that exact phrasing for all women but it didn't bother her. :-)

I Think Everyone Starts At Different Times! At One Point I Didn't Cry I Would Just Get Mad Then A Week Later I Didn't Wanna Do Anything But Just Sit Down And Cry And Now (People Tell Me) I'm More Grumpy Then Normal So It's Just A Part Of It And There Are Different Stages You Can Go through
