very large babys

ok anyone have a very large baby then end up having a smaller normal size baby next pregnancy? I dont know why this worries me soo much i just cant stop thinking about it, and there doesn't seem very many people i can talk to that have had bubs of similar size. id LOVE to hear from other woman that have given birth to large baby, i dunno i guess it would just make me feel better to know its not that uncommon and hear your experiences. i think it would make me feel safer...my baby was 12.2 pound. anyone know anyone similar or themselves? sorry if this sounds stupid i just cant get it out of my head

I would "shop" around..I changed docs after my first because there were issues I had with my him...I got really lucky and found a new doc I'm totally in love with(not literally..ha*).. I've sent him four new patients because I havnt stopped talkin abt him since he delivared my second daughter almost 6 years ago..working on #4 now!!! You deserve a good birthing experience after being disappointed the first time around...

im very fortunate that i was told to request my Dr from a friend and that she was the one working when i had my c section... i think if i do get an elected c section that i will see if i can book it to make sure she is the one working again... i have trouble trusting other Drs just from horror stories from friends and i understand what in means to have someone you trust

,i think it is lucky i didn't do some serious damage to me or the baby giving birth to him with forceps at that size, there is a reason they do a c section on babys of that size. i think its great i did manage to do it with forceps but it was a whole lot of stress on me and my baby (i ripped alot) that i feel could have been avoided had the proper checks been done, why didn't i get measured at all???i also had huge amounts of fluid and a huge placenta .i was clearly huge, i guess i just feel let down .
i think it would be good for you to try v bac but just make sure you have a midwife that really looks after you

my friend had the same fear after having a 10 pounder, which she tore really really bad... with her second they said she was measuring big again... but luckily they were wrong and she had a 8 pound somethin...

my daughter was 9lb 2 oz and she was 12 days over, which doesnt sound too bad compared to the previous posts but her head was in the 95th percentile... i ended up having a c section as she never came down as her head was tilted up and she was face up so she was pretty stuck... anyway my c section was awesome, had no problems or pain following and im kinda going thru the same fear... should i try a v bac or do i just have big headed babies?? lol

no my silly midwife sore that i was obviously massive but didn't want to check the size of baby because she thought it was just fluid soo she made me wait till 42weeks then finally induced me, but he wouldn't move no matter how hard the contractions were because he was stuck,my baby's heart rate was also dropping when they made me push as he was getting stressed out, they prepped me for emergency c section but first tryed to turn him and pull him out with forceps which finally worked. it was a very scary labour for me and i feel if shed just checked his size at 40weeks and induced me then it wouldn't have been so hard

aw thats good maybe my baby will be smaller this time, itl probably still be on the larger size because it runs in my family to have big babys, as long as its not even bigger then my last then i don't mind, i think i just need to find a good midwife that will keep an eye on it.i was born at 34weeks by csection and was9 pounds so if  id been left to 42 weeks id imagine i would have been very big as well

My first baby was 9 lbs 11 oz..she was 40 wks..my second was 9 lbs 1 oz @ 38 wks, and my third was 9 lbs 6 oz @ 39 wks..all pretty close, but if had carried last two till 40 wks, they would've been bigger than my first..!! But gotta say 12 lbs is big!! Lol..did you have a c-section.?? My husband was a 12 lb baby!! ;-)
