I agree with geekmom1213. The more people I told I was pregnant, the more people opened up to tell me about either their miscarriages or their problems with conceiving.  Having had a miscarriage myself I would definitely advise you to be careful about how you come across to others. Some people can't have kids and the news of pregnancy makes them jealous and sad. Just don't be surprised if some people aren't as happy for you, don't take it personally.  But if you want to go for it.

Well for one thing I don't know if "bragging" is the best way to go... sharing exciting news , sure, but bragging about it doesn't seem necessary.
And yes, people often wait until near the end of the first trimester to announce their pregnancy publicly, usually due to the risk of miscarriage. One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage, and it's very hard sharing the news of a loss especially when it happens early on. I am 14 weeks and haven't told anyone besides immediate family, two very close friends, and my direct supervisor at work (due to health risks present at my job) - having lost two pregnancies previously, one at 11 weeks and one at 12 weeks, I don't find it necessary to spread the news far and wide just yet. We aren't "keeping it a secret" we just don't find it necessary to share our private family business on Facebook for all to see until we are ready. And as far as "everyone probably knows already" I don't see why that would be - most people don't start showing in the first trimester... how would they know if you don't tell them?

No, I don't think it's a problem bragging about your baby. You going to be talking about it through out your pregnancy. You might as well start. Some people like to keep it a secret. Makes no sense to, cause everyone probably knows already and if they don't know. You'll be the one to tell them.
Congratulations, how many weeks are you?
