waste of my time!

Me and my husband wasted our time going to the hospital last night! 5hr wait for nothing!  The ultrasound machine was horrible. And they didnt have a vaginal ultrasound machine. So noe back to square 1. I still dont know how many weeks I am. If my baby is growing or if theres a heartbeat. I need a new obgyn but I dont want to make the same mistake again by choseing another horrible dr :(

I know the feeling. I spent 2 days in the hospital last week after bleeding, and they couldn't tell me anything, and when they did they said "you're most likely having a miscarriage" and that was it!! I'd go to a different doctor because on Sunday I went to another one, and they told me that everything was okay. I hope everything is well with you, God bless you♡

Sounds like a waste of their time too. That's not what the hospital is for. Dating ultrasounds or pregnancy confirmations are not an emergency - they need those beds and the time and attention of nurses and doctors for people actually experiencing emergencies.

If you are early enough in your pregnancy that a vaginal ultrasound is necessary to see anything, it is too early. Make phone calls, set up appointments, interview doctors and midwives. Find someone you like who has the same goals as you do and accepts your insurance. And they will schedule an appointment with you for an appropriate time for a dating ultrasound to give you the information you need.
