why haven't I?

my husband had some sort of stomach virus last week with stomach cramps and diarrhea (sorry TMI)  now my two year old has it. I'm left wondering why am I not sick? You think it's because I'm pregnant??? don't get me wrong im thankful because if I were sick it would be hard to care for my son. I'm 39w2d today, kinda worried about getting sick this far along, and I really don't wanna bring my newborn home to an infected house! The joys of December babies I guess? I plan on cleaning and sanitizing everything but my son is just horrible at the moment. Mess left and right!!! Ugh. Should I be worried??

I also avoided flu while pregnant yet caught a rubbish cold :/ depends on your immunity. Also your defences might be up more as you're close to having the baby xx

Ugh yea. That's what I thought. Hopefully lil Brennan won't get it when he arrives. I also noticed that I didn't get food poisoning when me and my sister, my Mom, and son ate at Braums. We all had the same thing, burgers and fries and I was the only one who.didn't have the runs later lol tmi again. It was nice but surprising to me.

Pregnant or not, some people just don't get sick. You can carry the virus but not get symptoms of one.

Yea that's what I thought too, that pregnancy was supposed to make you more susceptible to sickness. Weird. Just was worried about going into labor. I had planed on having my Mom bring my son to the hospital after his brother arrived to meet him, but looks like if he's sick, that's not gonna happen. :(  hope he gets over it soon so he can meet his brother when he gets here.

Same here. My husband got sick, my two other kids got sick, some of my other family member are sick, its going around and has hit everyone except me! Lol. I feel kinda lucky. What's going around tried effecting me but all I got was a sore throat for like two days and my body threw if out after that. No medicine or nothing. Maybe its the pregnancy that helped my immune system. Even though I've heard it does the opposite for some.

My whole family has the flu but me lol it seems like my immune system is a bit stronger
