weight gain

I am 28 weeks pregnant , and have been overweight almost all of my adulthood. Now  I am gaining weight at a rate which is normal for normal wt women but I am a bit concerned about this,. I have gained 22 pounds already with 10/12 weeks to go. In my 1st pregnancy I had gained similar wt but it was a completely normal pregnancy throughout. Should I be concerned about this? Is there any way to control wt gain from here on?
I am 29 yrs old.

hi thanks all for the comments and support, I knw i won't be able to control my wt from now on till i deliver, but I will surely control what i eat, maybe that will help. I do walk for 15 mins at a time twice everyday ,but that's what I can manage after that my tummy starts getting hard and I feel uneasy so I knw I have to stop.
Anyway I will keep updating my status to u and congrates to all of u too..

I put on a lot of weight and haven't been able to shead any of it yet.  I'm now pregnant again and I'm watching my weight very closely and watching how much I eat.  It's hard to not give into cravings, but I'm working on moderation with them.  I'd say that if you want to watch your weight just weigh yourself more frequently, and keep a food journal.  Then you'll see how much your eating and can see if your just eating too much.  I plan on discussing food intake with my midwife to make sure I'm eating enough for the baby but enough so I don't gain TOO much weight.

Walking and swimming are the best for pregnancy from what I've heard, but you wan't to make sure you don't over do it.
