I understand and agree with all of u. I should have mentioned ny son (my 1st) was born at 32weeks with no problems at all. Also i have a heart condition and i am having a hard time myself. Im just at a dead end of what to do...
I am tell you it is not a good idea to deliver that early, I have had 4 premature babies, you should be on bed rest, the ACOG says that now you are not full term till 38 weeks!!! Boys hve a hard time then girls and non caucasian babies have a harder time then white babies. I hve had steriod shots and they only lst for a while, tht hs nothing to do with the hard time abby will hve outside the belly, for every day in the belly saves a week in the newborn intensive care unit. Your abby deserves to be born full term. A babies brain is only partiall developed at 35 weeks and grows almostdoubles by 38 weeks. this is signifigant! I was on bed rest with my first 4 babies all born premature, the lst one dying shortly after birth. Premature babies also have to learn to breath suck swallow and stop breathing as the brain forgets. They wer out after week, it tkes more energy for them to grow on the outside s apposed to in the belly. It is were they need to be, even if you dialate or eface it can reverse and close back up. I would NOT have sex drink caffine and stay on rest. It is what is best for abby. Believe me you want to hold your baby right after birth not be taken away and wait hours to see him/her adn then leave baby at the hospital and go home empty handed and not be with baby all the time. It is crushing!!!!!! Babies bornpremature can get intestinal issues adn require surgery adn get brain bleeds from oxygen if they need it.They can hve poor eye sight later in life from being on oxygen after birth for any length of time. Things can change in the blink of an eye with babies tht little, ll can be fine then you can get a call right after leaving that things took a turn for the worse. Babies are worth the wait they re precious and a lifeworth doing anything for, i you the parets don't fight for the baby who will?
I really agree, don't actively try to deliver at 33 weeks. While it is good that they gave you steroids for the baby's lungs and heart, in essence, that is to keep the most essential parts of the child going if it is out of the womb early, the shots are is not some magic panacea that will keep the child from having a lot of the other problems that preemies have, and believe me there are a lot of them. If you want to find ways to create patience in yourself about the wait, look up premature babies and complications, and you will find new motivation for letting the child stay in and cook a little longer. The health of your future child really will be so much better if you manage to get closer to full term.
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm 32w5d but at 29 weeks I went through the exact same thing, I wasn't able to get the second shot of steroids tho bit I got one, but I'm still 1.5 cm but I'm also 50% effaced now, I wana have mine now too lol when they dis that test on me it was negative at the time but my doc said its prolly positive now, and this is my second too, I had my first at 36 weeks, the doc thinks I will have this one very soon
Why would you wanna deliver at 33 weeks? That's way too early!
