My daughter is 4 and she thinks the dr puts a small baby in mommys belly and it grows there until its ready and then the dr takes it out of the mommys belly through the belly button!
That's her story she thinks she has it all figured out and I just let her believe it haha. She never asked me, and the know it all phase begins!
Oh my gosh. I love the pooping baby out story! My daughter is almost 3 so I've not really explained too much. I told her mommy and daddy love each other and God put a baby in my belly. Then mommy's belly gets big big and then the doctor will take it out. I'm 29 weeks and she's been asking when the doc will take baby out. Guess my belly is big big now! Lol
That is too cute lol. I imagined your story in my head and for reason I imagined your mother's and your face dropping then just nodding to agree lol.
My baby sister asked if I ate the baby lol (she is 5, we are 15 years apart) well my mom was there and told my sister that when God thinks a woman is ready to be a mommy he helps a baby grow in her tummy. Then my sister oh and the dr cuts open the mommys tummy and cuts the baby out! Lol (she likes all the gruesome stuff!) And we said yeah sometimes and she was ok with that answer. So we never technically lied to her :)
My fiance's niece asked me that a while back so I told her to ask her mother lol. But then asked me "well how is she gonna get here", so I told her that Brent and I are going to go to the hospital wait a little bit, then the doctor will bring her to us so we can meet her and then we get to come home. (she's only 3 so I guess anything will work). But I like what you told your niece. I might use that in the future :)
I was 5 when my mom was pregnant with my brother. She went to the library and brought home a book geared towards young children and read it with me. She said my only comment was "eww, I'm never letting anyone do that to me!" I never asked again.
My daughter is 7 and asked the other day. I don't want to lie to her, and her and since we live in farm country she is exposed to animals birthing, so I began an explanation of where babies come from. I got as far as telling her we start as eggs, and she thought that was so funny she spent a half hour laughing and then never thought to even finish the conversation.
My 6 yr old knows the truth. She's going to be in the delivery room with me. My husband might not get Back from his job in time. I don't think its wrong either way, but she was bound to figure it out sometime
Wow i personally would have told her the truth i don't think she is too young. i was 8 years old when i went in with my mum to see my sister be born. i sat up near her head obviously with my step father and it was the most amazing experience of my life. i will never forget it. she is old enough to understand.
Lol... my 2 boys (aged 3 and 4) think the baby
Is gonna come out my feet.... lol... not sure
Where they even got that from..
Haha I just saw your reply. Feel free to use it :)
YOU JUST GAVE ME A GOOD IDEA! THAT IS WAY BETTER THEN MY STORY THAT I TOLD!
