Birth Story
Joleigh Rose Eleese Barr was born December 6th, 2014 at 12:59 am. She was born premature at 26 weeks 1 day due to complications in the pregnancy, and an infection that was starting. We went in to the hospital on the 5th at about 11:30pm because of contractions, they gave me medication to slow down the contraction, on the 6th they discovered they discovered I had an infection and they decided that she would be better off out then in, so they gave me an epidural, and some medication to increase my contractions, she then entered the world a couple of hours later. She was breathing and crying on her own for about a minute after being born, and then was taken to be worked on by the neonatal team. She is now in NICU with a breathing tube, and some antibiotics but they say she has a 90% chance of survival which helps with reassurance! She is doing really well so far and I am just hoping and praying our little girl stays strong and makes it through this rough, hard time!
Congrats! What kind of infection if you don't mind sharing. . I just worry am prego 26 wks
