My mom has diabetes, and I've never had an issue, pregnant or not. I've gained 7-8lbs so far, but my son I gained like 40 and still didn't get it. Every woman is different on weight gain so I wouldn't stress over your weight gain, it can be controlled even if you do have it, hopefully you don't!

ohh now im worried... I thought that the weight gain is what caused people to have a positive test... but Ive gained 16lbs so im within the normal but still not 12 lbs like you... And my real concern is how i feel like i NEED it and as soon as I get it I completely crash big time.. my mom has type 1 diabetes too...

I'm the same way!!! I want sugar CONSTANTLY! I'm 22+4, but I don't get the crash after! I think definitely you'll get some answers with your GD test. My doctor always told me if I feel like I NEED sugar, eat it, because I may really need sugar, he said a great boost is a peanut butter cup or two, so I've been eating a couple peanut butter cups when I really feel like I may need sugar.
