Yea, I hate those comments. I was 14 weeks pregnant, spotting so I went to the ER and the nurses are like "Are you SUUURE you're pregnant?" or "What makes you think you're pregnant" Like, helloooo ***** do you think I'm just gonna walk around saying I'm 14 weeks pregnant and bleeding for no damn reason and waste my time going to the damn ER!! Ugh, I cant stand those rude comments. Or now it's "Wow you got fat!" Yea, ummm no **** thanks...how rude!
Has anyone see the style of clothes lately??????????????Before i got pregnant i was asked on a semi regualr basis, when i was actually preggo i hadn't gained weight but was wearing looser clothes and was asked all the time, so now that i lost my baby i am sooo paraniod about what i wear.
People are so rude sometimes.
I completely understand how you feel. In that persons defense though...some women really do exude a "pregnancy glow". It's just something different about them, even before they "show" that says "i'm pregnant". It's kind of odd and hard to explain but i've seen it.
that has happened to me on numerous occasions.when i was pregnant with my first daughter i gained almost 80 lbs and it took me nearly 6 yrs to get it off..i just this yr lost 60lbs so am terrified about gaining weight.anyways its just plain rude of people to ask at any point unless they are definately sure.thats just my opinion though...lol
Well I wasnt skinny before I got pregnant and noone EVER asked me was I pregnant, but offcourse now Im really showing and everyone ask me what Im having and how far along I am. I think people just know, also kids and babies smile at me alot I dont know if because Im pregnant I notice them but they are definetly smiling.
Oh... and another reason... some women just have that "Glow" when they're pregnant...I could swear it showed up in a few of my pics... I compared them to prepreg pics and I look TANNED or something... glowy.
PPl definitely noticed around that time.
I meant I've SEEN many nurses in scrubs...
I agree with dnikki! It must be how you carry yourself. I can tell a woman is pregnant even when she doesn't have a belly yet because of how she walks and what she does with her hands/arms. Obviously I don't know ALL of them, but I can spot quite a few.
Also I've been many nurses in scrubs.. and some scrub pants can make a sort of "pouch" look in front. But you're right, it was rude of someone to ask. It should be a societal rule to never ask a woman if she is pregnant!!!
It may not be because you are really showing - especially in scrubs - but maybe the way you are carrying yourself. You might subconsciously be touching your belly or holding it while turning corners ect. I did the same thing like the day I found out I was p/g. I still did it until about 2 months post pregnancy...
thats alright. after i had my son i felt horrible. i had a good body prepregnancy and one day i felt like ****! i felt ugly, fat, discusting, the works! i was like to small for maternity and too big for my normal clothes. so my mom and i went out to make myself feel better and get something cute to wear. found nothing i liked. i felt worse and even sadder. well i went to babiesrus to get my son someting. and hes in the car with my mom im in their buy size 1 diapers (small bag) and some formula. and she askes when am i due!?!? damn i bigger than prepregnancy but i look like im in the first trimester! i felt horrible!
some people are just rude. it could be worse..you could be not pregnant at all
