PSA going up after removal of prostate 12 1/2 years ago

My PSA has gone up from 0.4 (4/4/06) to 2.4 as of 3/1/11. I don't have earlier PSA's.
My Oncologist wants to put me on a hormone treatement with LHRH Agonistis every 3 months for the rest of my life. I'm 72 1/2 years old.
Is this acceptable?
What are my options?

Thanks.
Richard Schuler.

Hi Richard,
Have  you thought about a round of radiation. Since you had prostate removed, most people
take radiation for re-occuring cancer. Any imaged guided radiation should work very well
for you. Hormones will also work. It just depends if you want to take meds for  the rest
of your life. Good Luck.

Thanks I will be checking with my docs about the radiation today. My Urologist has suggested Hormone Treatement but was thinking of an alternative, radiation seems to be it.
