My husband had a myelogram (for lower back pain) 3 days ago and ever since this procedure, he has had terrible memory loss & has also been acting like a belligerent drunk! He doesn't drink alcohol & of course hasn't since this has happened but he constantly sleeps & when not sleeping he's yelling and cursing without any reason, sometimes even slurring his words. My son said he even almost fell asleep while driving yesterday! His behavior since Wednesday is really starting to scare me & is nothing like he normally is. Today I was asking him about something he did yesterday and he couldn't remember anything he did yesterday, he was completely dumbfounded the whole conversation and of course was upset about not remembering.
He said during the myelogram, after the dye was injected & he was tilted, he could feel the dye sloshing around his head (not sure if that's normal or not). The day after, he told the nurse that he was having nauseous headaches & she suggested to him to get a blood patch in the ER... but he will not go do it. I tried looking up risks/complications of a myelogram & the only match I can find is the headaches & vomiting. This is the 2nd time he's had this procedure done but last time he did not experience any side effects.
Please, I hope someone can give some advice or insight?
