OBGYN ignoring pain for 2 years
Hi all, I’m not sure if this will even be seen, as I heard I am shadowbanned for posted too much as a new account? But I am a white, 24F, 5’5” and 142Lbs. I have been on BC pill for 6 years (important to note: I have also tried to come off as well as different forms such as nexaplanon, none of which helped the issue).
Since about December of 2019, I have been having an odd pain in my right side, right where the ovaries are located. At first, we suspected ovulation , however it has never switched sides, is random times of the month and has gotten progressively worse with time.
At first, my doctor showed concerns and sent me for a transvag. US. This showed nothing, coming back clear. Fast forward to almost 3 years later and nothing has been done to help the pain, other than 6 US that all come back “clean”.
The other day, I contacted my OB and was rushed in as the pain (another note: often hurts when it’s a quick, sharp movement like coughing.. like a stabbing pain. Then throughout the day, feels like a rubber band being pulled as tight as it can go and it’s about to break), spread into my back and down my leg, causing me to have to limp in pain. I was sent for Urgent Ultrasound and my tech seemed concerned by these images: (click here to view; https://i.postimg.cc/tT3xTQb7/DE04-FC69-3073-4-EB1-9-DBF-F38269079884.jpg)
However my doctor told me no big deal and I seem to be okay. The pain is only getting worse and I feel dismissed by my dr, who I once trusted. She is the Top OBGYN in the area, state and US. I had a follow up with my regular dr for an unrelated issue and mentioned the pain. He said there was nothing he could do for me, as she should be ordering more Tests for that region (another note: already been cleared for bladder, kidney, pancreas, etc).
I am desperate for help, just wondering the following:
1- should those specific images be a reason for concern?
2- any ideas of what the pain could be?
3- advice moving forward (unfortunately, switching drs is not currently an option)
