Hi. Emergency rooms are only going to look for emergent conditions or conditions that are not stable. Do you know how the issue resolved in the ER? (did it just eventually go away, did they give her meds etc?)
Also, did the ER do an EKG, Blood Pressure Check, Blood Panel etc? If so I recommend ordering a copy of the records to look at them yourself. Usually GERD does not have sweating accompany it. Does she know what happened right before the reaction? (spicy food, alchohol, energy drinks or any kind of stimulants, stress, anxiety etc.)
May not be a bad idea to just check in with cardiology since the zantac and tums didn't really do much
They took four vials of blood for various tests, did an EKG and checked her blood pressure. I am not sure what else but the symptoms went away after about an hour. She had not eaten anything yet that day and never contacted anything different than her normal.
