A turnoff?

Is it a turnoff for a guy in his mid twenties to watch cartoons like Spongebob? What about for women a year to a few years older?

Guess what, we like those shows too!  We laugh at them all but honestly, if I walked in on my husband sitting there watching spongebob on a regular basis all by himself . . .  I'd be a bit worried.  LOL

Something about a grown adult sitting around tuning into the nickelodeon channel . . .   just odd to me.  But then again, I have kids into this stuff . . .  so, maybe that explains it.

I will say though, on your list---  I was never a Pee Wee Herman fan as his loud laugh was like nails on a chalkboard . . .  even before he got himself in big trouble.

Who were the two guys on Saturday night live---  one with long blonde hair and the other wore a ball cap (mike meyer played him)?  They made a couple of movies in these characters.  I picture guys like that sitting around entertaining themselves with cartoons.

BTW rockrose, if you thing spongebob is funny, you'd enjoy my two sons and their friends.  I feel like I live in an episode of spongebob half the time. I don't have to watch tv, I live it.

My husband and I have pretty much the same sense of humor - a bit off-center.  We both love The Christmas Story,  Napoleon Dynamite,  Spongebob,  Pee Wee Herman (say what you will about Paul Reubens,  Pee Wee Herman is inspired humor.  ;D),  SouthPark,  Seinfeld,  and Cheers,  etc.

I hate low brow humor like the Stooges or almost any half hour comedy with stiff,  predictable characters in over acted roles.

So anyway.  Back to the point.  You want to find someone who shares your sense of likes and dislikes - it's so fun to enjoy stuff together.

I caught you a delicious bass.  ;D

Hm, I think it is a turn off.  yeah, it might make my husband and I giggle as we walk through the room as our kids watch it but if a grown man turned on spongebob by himself and sat there giggling at it, I'd find that unattractive.

Yeah, it's funny as a novelty but if it is the regular entertainment . . .  that's like guys that sit around playing x box for fun on a regular basis.

I would just wonder what I had in common with them.  (probably not much).

But, if you are into it----  that's your thing.  And there is someone out there for everyone.  so, maybe you'd find a woman that also liked cartoons.  And hopefully you'd find that attractive in HER.  good luck

Not in my eyes but different strokes for different folks. Some women might find it "immature" while some might find it funny and cute!

I love Spongebob :-)

Your question is a little confusing.

But I will say,  Spongebob is hilarious,  and I'm 54.  If we're in a hotel and it crosses the screen,  we'll stop and watch it.

It's only a turnoff if it turns You off.

On the list of turn offs this seems milder than many turn offs that come to mind.
