i found out my boyfriend is doing drugs

I found out a few days ago that my boyfriend takes Vicodin. He says he takes it once every two weeks. He gets it from his friend. My first reaction was i screamed at him and told him were over. I'm 19 i never smoked before, done drugs or even drink and i plan on staying that way!  I'm a medical assistance and in school for an RN. I told him i don't need to be imvolved with anything illegal. He tells me im acting crazy because its no big deal he just does it once in a while. I don't know really anything about this drug all i know is its an illegal drug without a doctors perscription and he could get arrested for this. Did i freak out and over react? Did i do the right thing?

I personally wouldn't even bother with the choice . . . dating is for finding out pertinent information about someone.  You've learned that he's into drugs.  You've learned he doesn't mind breaking the law.  I just wouldn't risk going there-----  you are 19 and have the whole world ahead of you.  Find someone that is safer to be with----  who doesn't dabble in illegal prescription drugs. Good luck.

Agreed...once every 2 weeks leads to 2 or 3 times every 2 weeks, then every week because he builds up a tolerance..then you slowly see your bank account wither away and see big changes in him and before you know it you're living with an addict.  IT IS A BIG DEAL TO YOU and should be to him...

I'd give him a choice....Pills or you and don't back down.
