Oh, you are better than me! If he wants me to look at something gross, I tell him to make a doctor's appointment. LOL. I also refuse to pluck any wayward nose hairs.
Other than that (and watching golf), he doesn't ask me to do much that I don't like to do. Probably because he knows I'd tell him no. Just like I don't ask him to do things he doesn't like to do, for the same reason.
I have kind of a long list. LOL My middle name can be 'trooper'. I could say something snarky like 'hanging out with his family' but know that is inappropriate. :>0 So, I'll say some of the more mundane things I 'force' myself to attend/do for his behalf. Because I love him. And I took a vow and all that good stuff.
Sports on tv. I plaster a smile on my face as game after game seems to be something he's waited his entire life to see. I mean, I like ONE game a Saturday . . . (and prefer the ones my kids are playing in) but they all start to blend together and the noises of various games just get to me. Really, baseball is the worst for me on tv or the radio . . the hush of baseball and I'd say golf and tennis are like that too -- drive me nuts. I don't mind baseball in person and in fact, kind of like sports in person . . . but on tv or radio---- ugh. I smile and daydream, a LOT.
The once a year annual clothes shopping trip for/with husband. Oh my. This is so awful. He HATES it. But he always needs work clothes. I buy things for him all year but he likes to go once a year together. And he is worse than my kids once there.
Make fish at home for dinner. I'm not a huge seafood person. Husband is. I don't mind it in a restaurant but preparing it myself? Ick. But I do it . . .
Husband has the world's most obnoxious friend. Loud, bawdy, might just make moonshine in the basement kind of friend. I go to all events my husband thinks he needs his significant other in attendance. Luckily there aren't too many. We laugh because I always bring food . . . and they hate my food. Hummus doesn't go over well. Velveeta and white bread or maybe just some mayonnaise plain would be popular.
I ALWAYS look at something gross on his body when requested. Whenever I hear "can you come hear and look at this" I take a deep breath to check out the concerning whatever it might be that has popped out on his body. Skin tags, moles, pimples. Lovely.
Okay, I have more if you want to hear them. ha ha
I meant, cooking every night..and then the clean up-YUk..although I like to cook and enjoy it, just sometimes I really didn't want to stand at the stove all night
Well after a long day on my feet, I come home exhausted..I really just don't feel like cooking..Im in the food business and sometimes I am beat from work, standing for 10 hours straight waiting on customers..all I want to do is lay on the sofa, get take out..etc etc..He on the other hand, hated take out, wanted a home cooked meal overnight..I mean, steak, potatoes (not frozen) salad ..the works, he likes food..and home cooked. I use to do it even though at times I just wanted to sit down..
Or going out with friends of his I didn't like, having them over my house..or going places I really didn't want to go..Its hard sometimes to do things you don't want to do!
