Am i pregnent
I am 20 not yet married had sex with my boy friend last month November 8th with out a condom , but i didn't let the sperm let finally . My problem is that i lost my period of last month . I heard that by eating papaya can loose pregnancy so i ate many after 2days of that day , but i dint find my period so how can i loose my pregnancy if i am pregnant and get back my period soon so that i can confirm that i am not pregnant . Help me how to get my problem solved . Any eatables which can loose pregnancy and get my periods back??

you don't need to be afraid of the doctor. do you know how many unwed women have babies? if you don't want to go to a doctor just yet get a pregnancy test. just relax and take it one step at a time. with how much you're stressing it could be just that....stress. if you are pregnant...there are so many choices you have. you could have an abortion, put it up for adoption or raise it. so don't stress and fret!

Abortion should never be taken lightly or looked upon as a method of birth control. And making oneself have an abortion by eating something is very dangerous.

Sorry, I usually am compassionate. It's just hard for me to hear someone so casually and dispassionately talk about ending their pregnancy as if they were extracting a tooth. I had a couple of unplanned pregnancies too. When I look at my kids now I just can't imagine life without them.

You said it with the puritan attitude towards sex in this country. My parents never spoke to me about sex and the only sex education I got in school was in 9th grade they showed us pictures of VD (that's what they used to call STD's in the old days). I learned everything "on the streets" as they say. Europeans accept the sexual nature of humans so much better than the US.

Yes it would be nice in the US if we had sex ed like some parts of Scandinavia do where sex ed started at 5 years old and the average first time encounter was with birth control at 18. However we live in America where protestant morals result in 11 years old being the average first time encounter age and sex ed being done by poorly trained nurses who roll a condom onto a banana! Maybe a little less judgemnt and more compassion would fly further?

To waringblender, No it is not rocket science, however grammar and spelling should not determine someones legitimacy as a poster. Personally I prefer typing because of some forms of reading/writing disorders that I have. However I have reading comprehension rate in excess of 500 wpm and a similar background if not too the same degree of training. If your legit, then pomposity is ill becoming of you.

The poster does sound rather ignorant about how someone can get pregnant as well as eating foods that cause abortions. We can't tell someone what foods to eat or how to give themselves an abortion - that would be really unsafe and probably not true anyway. If she needs an abortion, she needs to see a real dr. Also a good birth control would be very prudent for the future. There are some great ones out there.
To the OP: why are you afraid a doctor will judge you for being 20 and not married? do you liv ein the US? and why would you be looking for crazy ways to terminate a pregnancy you may have allowed to happen because you were careless? if i were you, i would suck it up, go see a doctor and possibly have to make a very hard decision. i don't think its wise for you to be involved in sexual activity without a full understanding of cause and effect and consequence. i agree with April in that this makes me sad. sad for the state of our generation. just like the other girl who posted about having other people punch her in the stomach. i don't know if that was here or on maternal/child but seriously, i am part of your generation and right now, you're not making us look that great! do the right thing and go get checked out by a doctor. planned parenthood as someone else suggested.

The last thing I am when I'm posting on a site like this is angry. It's not that important. But your information simply isn't accurate. A clump of fetal cells is not a "baby." If it were a baby, it would have the same rights as a baby. As it stands, in the U.S., a fetus does not have the same rights as a baby. So you're on shaky ground with that one.

You made a grown up decision to have unprotected sex, now you are going to have to be grown up enough to go to the doctor and do what needs to be done whether you are pregnant.

Ps. We're not doctors here. If you want to talk to a doctor, you'll have to go to one of the Ask a Doctor Forum. You won't find a doctor who will tell you how to perform your own abortion though. I hope to God you're not pregnant. I really do.

I'm not a doctor, just a woman around your age. I would suggest going to a Planned Parenthood. The website to use to find one in your area (if in the US) is plannedparenthood.org There are many things a woman could do to abort a pregnancy, however none of them are safe for a woman, so I wouldn't dare mention them. The safest thing for you to do is get help from a doctor, or a nurse at Planned Parenthood or another clinic. Most of the time those places are very discreet about using your name and such. I know it is scary, but you have to have help...if you wait too long an abortion is not possible...but adoption is always a very good thing.
