MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, nerve injuries by severity fall into three broad categories: neurapraxia, axonotmesis, and neurotmesis. Neurapraxia, the mildest injury type, does not require therapy, the nerve recovers. Second-degree injury is axonotmesis there is a loss of continuity of the axons or electrical wires within the nerve. In neurotmesis the whole nerve is injured and this is difficult to recover. So, based on the type of injury, there are chances of recovery. Regards.
