Hereditary Spastic Paraparisis and Restricted lung disease

My daughter has been dignosed with Hsp and Restricted lung disease.  From what I've read hsp, usually does not affect the lungs.   Does anyone know whether there is a connection between the two and if not what other disease may this been.   I am really worried and don't know where to turn.

Did you ever determine if there was a connection of HSP to lung disorders?  My husband also has both.
