pleuradesis pain

I have been having pain on my left side where my pleuradesis procedure was done six years ago. I had xrays done there was a little fluid present. Still having intermittent pain. could you help.

Thank you for your comments concerning my pleuraldesis. I do have some breathlessness, no fever no cough. I am 65 years old and have had two abcesses in the area of my pleuraldesis surgically removed.

Hi, post pleurodesis there could be some discomfort due to the fibrous tissue which forms due to healing. But if there is fluid collection and persistent pain it could indicate an infection. This is more so if you have fever and cough or breathlessness. Check with your doctor to rule out an infection. Regards.
