Cramps under rib cage

Can anybody offer advice or share similar symptoms?  I have very bad cramps under my right rib cage going around to my back, not a pain as such, just an extreme hot cramp which is pretty much permanent. Cramp feeling goes down to my groin. Have had ct scan, ultrasound and blood tests and all okay. Feels like a golf ball is getting squeezed under my rib cage. No fever but loss of appetite. Such an uncomfortable feeling. Part of the ct scan results stated There is no significant para aortic lymphadenopathy.
Multiple diverticula are noted in the sigmoid colon.  There is no evidence of diverticulitis.
Gas is noted in L4/L5 intervertebral disc in keeping with degeneration. I am taking buscopan and amoxicillin for diverticula but cramps are continuous always in same place under right rib cage to right of belly button. Am seeing consultant on Tuesday but would appreciate any help and guidance please. This is driving me crazy and affecting relationship with wife. No chest pain but dull ache in back right shoulder at top of shoulder. A bit shakey but that’s probably down to not eating! Help!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

In Diverticulosis as the name implies, there are small diverticula or pouches which porjrct through the defects in the lining of the intestines. These diverticula can get inflamed resulting in a condition called diverticulitis, where there are symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and changes in bowel habits. Your symptoms could be due to this. Once the inflammation subsides, your symptoms should resolve.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Some techniques to follow to help with the cramps. Pavanmuktasan will help with any trapped gas. Bahya pranayam will help with any stomach issues. Do kapalbhati pranayam for 5 to 20 minutes, twice a day, to stimulate the body's organs(software).  This works gradually, so allow weeks to feel the benefit.

Pavanmuktasan
Help to release gas and wind, and is good for gastric problems.
Lie down on the floor. Bring left knee up, hold the knee with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release. Then bring right  knee up, hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release. Then bring both  knees up, hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then hold for 2 seconds and release.
Repeat all this two more times.
Then bring both  knees up, (lock the hands around knees)hold with both hands and pull towards the chest, then roll forward and backwards about 10 times.

Bahya Pranayam (do before eating)
Breathe in and breathe out completely, hold the breath, touch chin to chest, squeeze stomach completely in, pull up your muscles below the navel, and hold for a few seconds, then release chin and stomach and, breathe in slowly. Repeat this  3  to 5 times'
Not for heart and high BP patients and pregnant women.

Kapalbhati pranayam -(Do it before eating)
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
