Could a quarter sized array of zit-like blisters be a problem?

I'm a 19 year old male
Last protected intercourse was early January of 08
Last unprotected intercourse was November of 07
I noticed what I believed to be a small white head about 1 inch below and 3 inches to the right of my belly button about 2 or 3 days ago, today I popped it just liked any other zit  and out came the solid-gelatinous white substance before it bled and scabbed over, I thought nothing of it as it seemed to only be a white head.  I was considering getting a tattoo in this region and so upon further inspection today I noticed a small array of these zit-like bumps (unlike normal zits on my upper-body they have a bubble like look to them, like that of a blister you get on your hands), however they do not hurt, itch, burn, or have any symptoms what so ever, they do also do not originate from hair follicles.  There are approx. 7 of them in one single spot 5' down from my belly button or 3' from the base of my penis and 2' to the right, in an area the size of  a quarter, one of which I popped to compare to the first which I found had the same solid-gelatinous zit-like puss ball. This small array is the only array of them that I have located.  I am not familiar with this site yet and have attempted to attach a photo of them.  I fear removing the rest in case the Dr. will need to inspect them this Friday?

Of course I will be seeing a professional Dr. this week as mentioned earlier, this Friday. It's rattling my nerves as to whether or not these are ordinary pimples or I've caught the beginnings of....some type of STD? I may be making a mountain out of a mole hill, but theres no harm in making sure right?

yea, she looked at it and told me right away that it was not herpes and started explaining how it was only the normal bacteria that are on our skin 24/7 which happened to get under my skin for some reason or another.  She didn't give me too many reasons as to why she knew this except that 1.) the blisters I have pictured aren't what herpes looks like and 2.) they generally don't form specifically on the abdomen area while not appearing at all on the genitalia.  I've been keeping the area clean with the triple-antibiotic and now they are all nearly gone, if not extremely small pimples.

Good news!!!
Dr. says it's nothing more than normal bacteria which live on my skin nearly 24/7 that happened to find their way under my skin.  Nothing at all to worry about, she said i should apply a bit of triple antibiotic ointment, or Bacatracin. Do not pop them or they will spread, instead keep the area clean and use the ointment maybe once or twice a day.  She said if they happened to get severely worse within the next 5 days to contact her, but I don't believe it'll be necessary, they are already  looking much better, a few more have arisen, but all are much smaller   I decided to donate some blood for testing while I was there anyhow. lol...Did I mention I got a free bag of like 40 condoms which she said I can come back and refill every ten days!

Thanks again everyone for the replies!!!
Hope this thread can help calm anyone else's nerves as much as it did mine!

After seeing more pictures of what these things generally look like I've calmed down quite a bit. Based on my extremely weak knowledge looking through pictures and going online, folliculitis is what I'm hoping for...yes....I hope I have folliculitis...*mild humor*  Luckily I haven't planned on having sexual contact of any kind with anyone for at least the next few months so I shouldn't have a problem of getting some education on the subject if it comes down to coping with something of the sort.  I find the pictures to be extremely helpful, and yes, I will be posting exactly what the Dr. tells me...I found it dissapointing that upon searching any type of description or idea of what it may be, google took me to the most horrid of pictures and vague of descriptions.  I'm going in....actually in about 7 hours considering it's now 3:30 in the morning to see what's up.

Definitely post what exactly it is what your doctor says it is...since you posted a picture it will definitly help other people to be able to see if they match up to what you had/have and then to know exactly what it is and how to treat it....lessen some other peoples nerves around the world just like the nerves you went through...

My guess is that it is not Herpes...possible, but it isn't scab like or on the penis...the two normal symptoms...

good luck

I have hsv2, so I can assure you that everything you have read about it NOT being a big deal is correct.  There will be no amputations, scarring, tumors or death.  :)

You aren't getting symptoms in a "typical" spot, that's true.  Herpes infects nerve groups, and genital herpes infects the sacral ganglia.  That means you can get outbreaks anywhere from the waist down.  The most common areas are in the boxer short region, and most often ON the genitals.

Keep in mind that if you do have it, that you would be infectious from your genital area even if you only get outbreaks on your belly.  We can talk more about that later, if you have it.

Call the doc tomorrow, ok?

First and foremost thank you very much for the response.
That definitely seems to be a possibility...although I am unhappy with the possibility...who wouldn't....the research I've done so far leads me to believe that it is not NEARLY as bad as I had worried in the beginning...(amputation of the genitils, horrible lesions/tumors/scarring, or worse...death)  The only somewhat confusing thing for me is that if this is herpes, according to webmd and many other places, the sores generally occur on the penis/scrotum/etc...not so much right next to the belly button or as far as 3-6 inches above the base of the penis.  I'm content...for now...that my penis/scrotum look to be fine both asthetically and mechanically.

It might be herpes, so don't pop them.  And call your doc tomorrow and tell him that you might have herpes symptoms, and need to be seen before next Friday.  They need to be cultured within 24-48 hours from when they appear.

It could also be folliculitis, an allergic reaction, etc.

Just get it checked, and the sooner the better.
