Can I still give someone syphilis after being treated?

I was diagnosed with syphilis three months ago and was treated for it. The Dr said it will still show as positive if tested in 6 months again(is that true)..he said I will still have the pathogens in me... Now that being said after being treated and still having the pathogens is it possible to give someone else syphilis even if I was treated for it?

You won't have the pathogen in you - that's the germ - but you'll have the antibodies, and may continue to test positive.

Have you been retested? To know for sure that you've been cured, they will look for certain drops in your numbers on the blood work. Once you know that for sure, you can be sure you won't pass it to anyone else.

If you are having sex with someone you've had sex with prior to your treatment, you could get reinfected if that person has not yet been treated.

So I'm ccured but I have antibodies in me still say the person I have sex with  is std free... Is it possible for them to get syphilis  off of the antibodies?
No, the antibiodies aren't what's infectious, the actual germ is.

Keep in mind though that having the antibodies for syphilis doesn't make you immune, like with some other infectious diseases. You can still be reinfected.
