I'm unsure, and kind of scared.

Alright, so as of this past week I have had some intense pain in my back.
At first it was under my right ribcage and I had assumed it was muscle soreness.

It went away for a day, and then the next day it was back again, but once again, it went away.
Now the pain has moved to under my ribcage on my left side.

At first there wasn't any pain, I just had a very strong smell to my urine. I assumed the smell would go away, and at times it does (especially after drinking a lot of water).

I had a urinalysis done that didn't show anything really unusually, so they sent it off for a urine culture.
I didn't get myself tested for any STIs or STDs because I didn't think that would be an issue.

I have had intercourse with one person alone for 15 months, and nothing happened with them.
When I got another significant other; however, we had sex quite often, and a few times we did not use protection.
He had just returned from basic, and I don't see them allowing him to continue training and whatnot with anything that can be cured, or even allow him in with some sort of disease in which he could give to someone somehow.

I have known this man for 6 years, but I also know certain things can arise due to bad bacteria and if left untreated can turn into things pretty severe.

I return to the doctor again this coming Tuesday, but I don't know what to have her test nor what it could be.

I mean, I guess it could also be pregnancy? But I just had my period last week, and the intercourse occurred around 2 weeks ago (maybe a little longer ago).  So that kind of made me take that out of the scenario.

What kind of tests should I take?
There's no burning, no odd discharge. Just pain in my back where I would assume my kidneys are and odd smelling urine.

Perhaps the urine culture will reveal a kidney infection where the initial urinalysis did not. I don't know, but I want to at least have an idea.

The smell and the pain doesn't seem like it would/could be an STI/STD, but I worry over everything. Thank you for reading and I hope for some responses soon.

Alright. For any of that would I have been getting symptoms of it only 3-4 days after intercourse?

I'm curious because as for vaginal discharge, I've had just white discharge for basically... 3 years now? I went to the doctor over and over about it, and it always tested fine and she said it was normal yeast and I just had more than other women.

I had an ultrasound a few months ago that looked at my gallbladder and right kidney and everything showed up fine.

As far as any oddly colored discharge though... I haven't had any.
I don't have any itching, burning, or irritation. The discharge is mostly odorless, and the urine is too as long as I am drinking water.

The pain also eases up if not completely ceases to exist with painkiller.

Hi, the more common std,s would be gono and chlamydia and symptoms of these would manifest with urethra irritation while urinating and a white puss discharge. Vaginal could appear as a greenish discharge and is a symptom Trich.
Pain like your mentioning could be associted with PID which is a inflamation of the pevlic area from and std as many female dont show symptoms of chlamydia and tends to spread.
Start with a urinanalysis, and ultra sound of the kidney for function.
