I had mg for 16 years and I was having fun with a lady who aggravated my prostatitis I had for years when I came so hard I popped a biofilm or a cyst or something. When I came it felt so ******* great I thought my prostatitis went away no it got vicious more than ever to i once again sought medical treatment found out my CBP all these years was mg and now everything is cleared up I am still on the moxifloxacin and rifampin as a precaution since I had it for 16 years and the fact I had a really high bacterial load. BTW the woman does not have it and we had protected sex and when the bubble in my prostate burst it was absolutely disgusting what came out in the condom obvious pus cum and blood I had not ejaculated in several weeks prior and they said it was likely a granuloma cyst from the bacteria bursting and I got initial relief followed by an explosion of bacteria that we're previously protected and multiplying. This is why long term antibiotics is recommended but you gotta know what your fighting first. I had many doctors tell me nothing was wrong and one even refer me to psych... I gave up and tried to just live my life figured maybe it was in my head. Definitely was not.
i suggest anyone suffering get a test to the correct level,PCR or NAAT then sensitivity test then u r on your way
I am 31 male from Australia who has just won the battle against MG after fighting it for 6 months. I think I got it from someone in China. Anyway, I tried doxycycline, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin and azithromycin, none of them worked. What did work was a combination of Moxifloxacin 400mg one per day for 10 days (in the morning), plus Rifampicin one pill per day for 10 days (at night). The combination of both of these together finally killed it!
Thanks alot Howard... I'll look into your advise
Here is a thread from the STD expert forum you may find helpful. It contains links to still other discussions as well.

This is a complex situation; you're not going to be able to get definite answers on line, either in this forum or anywhere else.
I'll just say that if you had a positive test for M genitalium, then you had the infection at that time. However, it doesn't necessarily mean it was the cause of your symptoms. And if your symptoms are continuing, it isn't necessarily because M genitalium is still there; the only way to know is to have another test for it.
The UK's NHS genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinics are excellent, with world class expertise. I would recommend you visit your local GUM clinic if you haven't done so. Or see one of the excellent private GUM clinics, like London's Freedom Health Clinic. Then trust their expertise in managing your problem. Good luck.
