Oral sex and STI?

I wanna say that this website is an amazing resource and very helpful! thank you to everyone who answers questions and help bring peace of mind to people.

that being said,

about 6 weeks ago I had unprotected oral sex (gave and received) with an Adult male around 27 years old. its the first and only time I ever have done it and it was one encounter. it lasted maybe 10 minutes. Now, like I said, almost 6 weeks later I am having a pain in my left testicle. honestly, its hardly a pain, scale of 1 to 10 I would barely call it a 2.

I have done LOTS of research about what it could possibly be but I have no idea. I am experiencing no symptoms that appear with the onset of gonorrhea (discharge/painful urination/swelling/redness).

from what i understand its almost impossible to get Chlamydia from oral sex (oral to penile).

I don't really do anything really strenuous or hard on the body.

honestly, I am in a relationship and am happy with who I'm with. it was something I regret doing but always wanted to do. I do have anxiety about it and since it has appeared I am constantly touching it and checking it. each day yields the same result. no change. everything seems fine like it always has.

thanks in advance for helping me put my mind at rest.

Most likely genitally focussed anxiety due to the guilt you're probably experiencing but if you really want to know, checking the internet isn't going to help. It'll make anxiety worse, guaranteed. If you're that concerned, find a free std testing clinic and just get tested. But if you don't have discharge, that's usually a sign that nothing is wrong.

But still, testing is the ONLY way to know for sure. Test for gonorrhea syphilis herpes trich, just to cover your bases.

I have been advised by many that chlamydia cannot be contracted via oral sex. Would someone like to confirm this also. It sounds in your case that gonnorea would not be a possibility as you would be noticing a defimite coloured discharge and stinging during urination. Doctors on this forum in recent months have said only gonnorea syphilis and Herpes can be contracted via oral sex (please would others confirm this is correct so I’m not misguiding anyone). If you had any of the other two illnesses you would have spots and leasions and sores which again would be quite obvious.
I was previously stressing about chlamydia following oral sex and had clear sti checks. Once I realised it was nothing the symptoms went.
The symptoms for gonorrhea and chlamydia are about the same hence the general consensus that you can get chlamydia from unprotected oral sex. Chlamydia is unlikely to be transmitted to oral because it's not the environment that fits them. Notice how I used it's unlikely because nothing is for certain. Gonorrhea on the other hand can live in the throat.

If someone has poor oral hygiene, your risk of getting UTI and NGU is high.

As a common benchmark for receiving unprotected oral sex, you should test for UTI, gonorrhea, and NGU. But other common one includes syphilis and herpes.
