I’m starting to freak out: 2 possible exposures, approx. 7 weeks apart. The first included kissing, protected intercourse, cunnilingus, and uncovered fellatio. The second included kissing, cunnilingus, and uncovered fellatio, no intercourse.
Two days after the second incident, symptoms began in my mouth, including red spots on my tongue surrounded by a white border. These have persisted for 3+ months. Diagnoses is Geographic Tongue. Approx. 5 weeks after second incident, throat and tonsils became red and irritated. This also persists until today. About 2 weeks ago, slight discomfort in right testicle began.
At 7 and 14 weeks after second incident, tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HSV-1, HSV-2, HIV, Hep B and Hep C. All negative except HSV-1. Also tested for mono and oral gonorrhea at 7+ weeks, both negative.
My questions are:
1) Are any of my oral symptoms possibly related to an STD that I have not been tested for (such as oral Chlamydia)?
2) Is there a known link between Geographic Tongue and STDs?
3) What is the likelihood that I contracted something that I have not been tested for (such as Trich – can you get it from unprotected fellatio or protected intercourse)?
4) Could the testicular discomfort be caused by NGU 3 months later, with no other symptoms?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
