2year old exposure concern carelessness of nurse

We took our daughter to the ER for a spiked fever of 104 the nurse there was very careless and rude acting like we just disturbed her by walking in. Any ways, my daughter is crying, feels bad and is terrified so she is not co operating very well when I helped keep her still so the nurse could fo the rectal temp. I noticed the thermometer didnt have a cover on it after she removed it from my daughters rectum and I checked the trash just incase I missed her throw it away, but there wasnt one on top of the trash, so I am fearful that she may have exposed my child to something

Hi, i would not be overly concerned any disease or infection would be passed that way but maybe talk to the ER about your concerns.
