Worried

This is a very embarrassing situation. Here goes: About five weeks ago, I had protected sex with a prostitute for the first time, receiving both oral and vaginal sex. It was brief, as I hated the experience and I washed myself thoroughly with soap afterwards.  But when I got home, I felt disgusted by my act and "unclean". I panicked and washed myself with mouthwash and applied some Fucidin that I had laying around to my genitals.

The next morning my skin was red and irritated and I noticed that the meatus was getting red. I figured i must have irritated it and applied regular hand lotion to calm it, but the redness got worse, especially the meatus. The skin around my pee hole got raised on both sides, almost like a raised halo around it, that is a bit red. The rest of my genital skin was very irritated and sensitive and red in several places. The skin felt as if it had  sunburn.

I freaked out about STDs and especially herpes, so I went to a dermatologist a few days later. I told him everything and he examined me and said not to worry, it is irritation.  He prescribed Lotriderm and said it would go away in a week. At that time walking around was hard, so I would also apply aloe gel for soothing.

After the problem persisted, especially the meatus, I went back to the dermatologist. He told me not to worry, it is most likely that I am sensitive to Lotriderm as well. He did a swap for bacteria just in case (he said for "normal" bacteria, not STD) and told me to apply Cultivate instead, assuring me that it would go away in a week.

Well, a week passed and the problem was still there. He referred me to a urologist, who also examined me and told me that he sees no signs of herpes. He said that he thinks it is not a big problem and recommended that I just stay off oitments and gels and let the skin heal, again assuring me that it will be gone in a week.

Well, it has been 5 wks in total and the skin around my meatus is still raised/irritated. The rest of my genitals is also slightly irritated and sensitive, but nothing like my meatus. I also tend to pee a lot (may be due to scare/stress and all the water I am drinking), however, I notice that I don't clear all the urine in the pipes and try to pat myself dry with a tissue.  I also keep freaking out about any small bump I see on my penis.

My question is whether this can be herpes?  Could herpes cause my meatus to be irritated for so long?  And also, how do I get the swelling to go down?  I can't begin to tell you how depressed I am. Seems like all I do is take trips to the bathroom to examine myself.

Please help!

Thanks for the reply, Jessy. It's easier said that done. As you can gather, this was very abnormal behavior for me, brought on by a recent separation from my wife.  But there is definitely something going on. I have a swollen meatus head and irritated skin. I have to figure out how to cure it.

Yo, sooo I am part of another forum that has the same issue. Unfortunately none of us have found a cure. It usually gets triggered when I receive aggressive oral, last anywhere from a few weeks to months. I get pea size lump on the left side of meatus, sometimes the right swells up. It burns when I pee and ejaculate, also noticed that my sphincter burns a bit too. No stds, tried every antibiotic, every anti fungal, have seen urologist and had a camera shoved up there, prostate and bladder are healthy, seen dermatologists. Tried switching my diet, the last attempt is going to do a full body cleanse and fasting, as well as trying to talk to a world renown urologist hopefully at end of month. The closest thing that I have found in symptoms is a paraurethral duct infection but that is usually caused by a gonorea. Got an ultrasound and still nothing comes up. Best of luck will post more about my upcoming visit with urologist. Keep me updated. Also, do you vape at all? Second any injury to penis or scrotum or anus? This is destroying my mental health

Hello

So two doctors have told you that its not herpes.    Plus your experience is a low risk for herpes.   What you describe does not sound liker herpes.   So I am also going to say to you its not herpes.  Its not herpes.

You have worked with physicans on how to get the swelling to go down, and have been unsuccessful.  I'd say leave it alone.  Move on.  You don't need anymore STD testing.  Go home.
