Confused on Syphlis testing result

Is this false positive or autoimmune Syphilis?

Hello!

I had an exposure with a sex worker in Feb 11, unprotected oral (not cum), actually she got some Listerin in her mouth then proceed into vagina sex with condom

That is my first sex and I haven’t had any since then.

2 weeks after exposure, i got a painful sore on my groin. Based on the fact that syphilis sore is painless, I use antifungal cream on my own and it disappear a few days later (both the sore and the pain)

50 days after exposure, i go to a clinic and my syphilis test result was:

Syphipis TP 1.32
TPPA (-)
RPR (-)

The doctor appointed me to retest TPPA and RPR 1 month later

88 days after exposure (more than 1 month since the first test), the result still negative for both TPPA and RPR

The doctor concluded that It was an autoimmune syphilis, no need for treatment, as well as no need to retest the syphilis TP method.

But i can not find any document said that syphilis can be autoimmune, so it’s a little bit of anxious.

Here is a little more informations, I got an AIHA (Autoimmune hemolytic anemia) 2 years ago and got treatment with blood transfusion in 1 week.

That’s kind of immune disorder and according to my search, It can cause false positive syphilis

Recently (10 months after exposure), I got some itchy pimples around the groin and painful scratches between the scrotum and groin area.

I went to the the clinic and diagnosed with fungal infection,

After a few days using antifungal cream, a very tiny scratch appeared in the underlying glans penis. I can feel it but It’s not even painful if i do not try to pull back my foreskin, and it seems to be cleared up spontaneously after a few days

I have some questions

1/ is my test result conclusive? And whether it be a false positive or autoimmune syphilis?

The fact that It was a syphilis bringing me some psychological issues. It’s almost 1 year since then but I’m still obsessed, every chancres or sores appeared on my body make me nervous if that was a sign of syphilis

2/ If my case was autoimmune syphilis, can it transmitted to others through non-sexual activities (sharing food, towel,…) at the first stage of my infection?

3/ If it was not syphilis, what could all that sores and symptoms be?

All the symptoms were the first time happened to me, so I’m worried it all originated from that exposure

Thank you for your response!

So I think you're a little confused.

There is no such thing as autoimmune syphilis. It is a bacterial infection, and is never an autoimmune one.

Your false positive test could be caused by your autoimmune disorder. That's known to happen.

Has anyone cultured these sores you get? Could they be herpes? If you get them again, get into your doctor within 48 hours and ask for a type specific herpes culture.

They could be fungal, herpes, something like eczema, allergic, etc. - there's no way for us to know.

Your test results show that it isn't syphilis, though.

Thanks a lot for your information, helping me to feel so relieved.

It means 87 days is conclusive and no need to retest >90 days, there never had been a syphilis existed in my body, right?
