vaginal fissures

I'm still looking for help on the cause of lacerations or vaginal fissures.  My doctor suspects HPV, but it looks nothing like the pictures I've seen.  Is there anything I can look into while I wait for my gyn appointment because it's months away?  The only other symptoms are redness and irritation, but those come and go (tend to be present a week before my period).  I've always used condoms when I've had sex.

Thanks.

Well, that's better than months.  Let me know.

Thanks Aj.  I'm trying - only clinic I could find is closed tomorrow and I can't get into it for Friday, so it will have to wait until next week.

I can't diagnose you, hon.  You need to be seen, and again, waiting months is unacceptable.

You can get milia on your genitals, so it might be that, but you really do need to be seen.  You might also have fordyce spots, or it could be HPV - you just need to see a doctor.

The white bumps almost look like milia (if you're familiar with what milia on the face looks like).  It does look as if some of these bumps are grouped together, but then there's also an overall rash.  Does that sound like hpv?  It definitely wasn't what my doctor was referring to because it came out yesterday.

Hello - did you ever find a solution?

I've been reading theads on vaginal fissures, and though my symptoms don't fully sound like yours, I was wondering if for you the diagnosis might've been: lichen sclerosus?

And/or have you found other ways to heal?
Thanks so much

Thanks Auntiejessi.

I was swabbed for herpes previously, but I'm not sure if it was on one of these lacerations (I don't know if one of these is definitely the cut received from lack of lubrication).  My doctor doesn't think it's herpes because I haven't had other symptoms, including no previous blister or anything.

Most of them have healed now - I decided to put yeast infection cream on them to see what happened and they're doing better.  Maybe unrelated, but they are.

I've posted a series of other questions now though - I ended up with a rash another colour than my skin (lighter) between the skin fold of my labia and very tiny small white bumps (similar to goosebumps).  I also have white bumps surrounding my anus, but only noticeable if the skin is stretched.  It's also itchy.  I'm again not certain if it's a rash, yeast infection, or a symptom of an STD.  It's all freaking me out because I can't see the gyn for months.  I haven't had sex for a month now, but understand you can show symptoms of things like HPV months later.  I've always used condoms, but it terrifies me to think I could have HPV or something worse.

I thought of an STD clinic today and I'm looking into it because it's really upsetting me.

Herpes is a cause.  Allergic reactions could be.  Bacterial vaginitis might be. HPV is not.

If you can't get into your gyn for months (which is unacceptable), how about trying a planned parenthood or std clinic.
