Extreme anxiety or genuine concern?

34 y/o male, in 10 year monogamous relationship.

Sunday night I gave unprotected cunninglingus and had two minutes of unprotected sex. There was no ejaculation. Go to bed at 4am. Her vagina was more wet than I remember other ladies' being. No odor.

Monday am up at 10am, feel fine, into the office, take the night off.

Tuesday, am up at 9am, feel fine, go out until 3am drinking / get to sleep at 4am.

Wednesday, am up at 8:30am for meetings.  Today, Wednesday, I have had the shivers, the glands in the side of my neck are swollen, I have mucous on my tonsils, a mild fever and fatigue. Very slight pain in right testicle tube.

I fly home to DC tomorrow and am dreading it. I have betrayed myself and those dear to me and I will be seeking counseling from my medical doctor when I get home.

Is it possible to gauge the risk that this is a real STD presenting itself after only three days, or am I just killing myself with anxiety?

Your symptoms seem cold/flu related. But testing is advised for your loved ones esp is you have a long term partner.

Thank you for your reassuring words.

My fever today is at 102. I have no itching around the mouth, genitals or anus but the stiff neck, swollen glands, sweats and sore throat remain.

If this still reeks of paranoia and a cold or flu like virus I will hit the Motrin tonight. Or should I go to the doctor?

I'm just concerned about herpes more than anything. Should I be?!?

Hi and welcome. Your killing yourself from anxiety! As you know unprotected sex with an unknown is risky and the usual symptoms would be a yellow/white penis discharge and burning/itching in your urethra that occur about 5 days post exposure. Your symptoms appear more from a virus pickup up traveling except the testicle discomfort but this could have happened from the act itself or merely crossing your legs wrong.
Before you have any sex with your wife you need to be tested for all std,s. I single brief encounter does lower ones risk but nun the less a risk exists for exposing your wife.
Normally in these situations no testing is advised with out the above symptoms but if a long term partner is involved the testing is highly recommended.
Testing times post exposure below:

Gono and chlamydia-----1 week
syphilis-------6 weeks
herpes----------3 months
HIV--------3 months but you can do a rapid duo test at 6 weeks
HPV-----no testing available for men for thiis.
Trich------ask your doctor
