Discomfort in the Meatus

About a year ago i was diagnosed and treated for chlamydia and gonorrhea, Everything was good for a while, but a few months after the treatment I started getting another symptom. Occasionally when I have to pee, I'd say about 1/5th of the time, I get discomfort in my meatus which is then relieved when I go. The feeling resembles one of the symptoms I had pretreatment, but no where near as intense and it seems to only come around when I have to go and it always recedes after peeing unlike the previous symptom. The other symptoms I had before the treatment aren't present either. I haven't been retested due to financial issues, I was expecting it would've gone away by now and I can't seem to find any one else having the same problem. I could use an expert opinion on this, I think I'm still infected, but then again I don't for the symptom hasn't worsened and its been quite sometime. This discomfort is not an every day event, and I'd say the most its happened is maybe twice in one day, possibly 3 times but I haven't kept track like that. Sometimes I freak out and think I'm still infected but I keep reassuring myself with the fact that the pain isn't growing as it did previously when I could actually feel the disease festering and growing inside of me. Needless to say my confidence is still hurt and I haven't had a sexual encounter since originally contacting the disease in fear that I may still be contagious. Please help!

this is probably just some random irritation. if it was std related, it'd would be constant.

Thank you for your attention grace. Maybe you can clarify for me. Here are some of my thoughts.
The sensation is too familiar to say it wasn't associated to what I was treated for, and although it isn't constant or even consistent, it is still continual.
Is it possible that my meatus was damaged from the infection and is structurally compromised, like a microscopic scar inside somewhere, and when certain pressure is applied to that area it would cause the discomfort?

I am sure it is possible, but only a Dr is going to be able to tell you that.

no reason to think you have any damage or long term scarring from bacterial std's.

anything that causes irritation in the genital area will cause similar symptoms. infection would cause constant irritation, not the random and brief symptoms you've had. look at things like what you were wearing and doing on the days you had symptoms. same as how much sexual activity and/or masturbation around the same time too. in time, you might get a better idea what is causing these symptoms. same as too much caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods can also cause these issues in males too sometimes.
