Diagnosed with hsv

I m from india just yesterday i took my blood reports for hsv 1 and 2 and the results are
1)hsv 1 and 2 IGG- positive 25.0
2)hsv 1 and 2 igm - negative 0.619
I dont know how contract to it i always wear a condom for vaginal and oral sex 2 month ago i had an encounter where i for around 2 mins she did blowjob on me just because of that encounter i contracted with the virus.
I spoke to a dr in chennai he said that it is curable now just have to take medicines for 6 to 8 months in every 15 days we have to do the blood report to check the status and in maximum 8 to 10 month it will be cured for sure he cured so many patients...please help me on this he has online information also that its curable on google that herpes cure in india...

Your IGG tests seem to be combined? is IGG HSV2 ALONE, 25.0?

First, the CDC DOES NOT recommend testing for HSV2 in the absence of sores or blisters.
What made you test for Herpes? Did you have visible signs, such as sores, blisters? Did you and your partners ever feel like you were exposed to the virus before?

Just to clarify something. Herpes Simplex Virus is not curable. It is treatable through medications such as Voltarex. It is used to help reduce breakouts and sores also making it less transmissible to potential partners.

You will get through this.

Hsv 1 is usually known as oral herpes.  This is not necessarily transmitted sexually.  Many people have this even since they were kids.  Hsv 2 is genital herpes and you get this one through sex.  Although you can treat herpes and it does not reduce your life expectancy,  the virus is for life.  Avoid having sex during outbreaks or whenever you have a tingling feeling in the area.  My partner of three years has herpes 2 and I am still negative.

Thanks for your reply isle39 actually i m in a good relationship from last 6 year and we had so many physical relation oral  nd intercourse i m very much fear of her getting virus from me i can do anything for me but i m super worried about yesterday i lied to her she was not well i said we are normally doing the blood test for fever i dont know what should i tell her and how if her blood test for herpes becomes positive for her we are going to get marry this December please reply

If you do have herpes,  avoid sexual contact during outbreaks.  My partner of 3 years has herpes and I am still clean.  But,  you have to upfront with her and let her know you have the virus,  so it is her choice if she wants to stay with you. Oral herpes is not the end of the world, many people have it.

Unfortunately her result is also positive for herpes but its higher than me

Is this the very high no if it is a very old virus in the body does this affect the organ in the body or any serious health issue...from  last 3 days she has a fever a body pain and head pains alot does this bcs of the virus what this virus affects in body if it is a old infection...

Hi there something wrong with your tests results as it appears it was a combined test for hsv1 and hsv2 with the igg so first thing is you need to have a individual test for hsv1 and hsv2 as we dont know which you have but with a number of 25 you do have one for sure and i would guess its hsv1 oral from child hood. and there is no cure to date.

Ok tomorrow I’ll do separate test for hsv 1 and 2..to know its which 1.
yesterday i went to a doctor he said don’t worry most of them has it and he gave me a tablet herpviral 500 mg and said take this once in a night for 3 months without confirming which hsv it is what do u think should i start the medicine or should i consult to any other dr.
I just wanted to know i am in a relationship with someone from last five years in between we had physical relationships so many time so what’s her the chances of contracting the virus she doesn’t have any symptoms yet.
I have so many swallon lymph mode in my hands and stomach not near the neck area and hand and legs are paining is this because of the virus are my numbers in results are very high can i will be ok if I’ll start the medicine...does this affects in life expactancy...
