I got tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia

I got tested one week after having unprotected oral sex and both tests came back negative. I was very relieved, but now am wondering if I could have tested too soon. Is there such a thing as a false negative? Don't get me wrong, I am sooo happy with the test results, however, my throat is still red and sore three weeks later. My family doctor prescribed Azithromycin 250 MG dose to knock out whatever bacteria may be causing my symptoms. A strep test came back negative as well. My family doctor was not the one who did the STD tests for me. I went to a clinic for that. My concern is mostly that I do not want to pass on an STD to my partner.

Yes I believe it's not a STD. medication can cause yeast infection. Follow up with your Dr.

Now I'm feeling a burning/need to urinate in my vagina. I'm really getting nervous that it's an STD. The sore red throat is starting to subside, but now I have these new symptoms. Could it be another type of bacteria that is causing it? Maybe a  yeast infection? a UTI? Do you honestly think it's not an STD because the results came back negative?

The antibiotics might kill some things, overall I would not be too concerned.

Do you think I should test again? or be satisfied with the negative results I already got. Would the antibiotics I'm currently taking be enough to get rid of an STD if I did have one?

Testing 1 week is actually the correct time frame.
Did you give someone oral sex?
