Igg Test

If the Igg test is positive, could it be that there is bacteria like staph instead of hsv, since Igg antibody fights both bacterial and viral infection? There was also signs of bliters whih i have read could also be caused by staph bacteria infection. Thanks in advance.

Jess is correct. However there are several things to consider. If you had a type specific IGG test, you need to get both results. Post them here. If your HSV1 is positive and your HSV2 is low positive (i.e. between 1.0 and 3.5) it is possible that you do not have HSV2.

There has been some evidence that bacterial infections can cause odd results in Biokit HSV2 tests. However usually, the results are just plain indeterminate.

If your herpes IgG was positive, that means you have herpes.

The herpes test only looks for herpes, not staph or anything else.
