No, they aren't a huge deal, and most can be treated.
And I'm sorry people got nasty. That shouldn't happen, and its been taken care of, so no worries, and I hope you feel comfortable asking what you need to.

Haha why in the heck would I make that up??? Get real folks...Thanks AJ...Yeah my cousin is a doctor and when I told him about the brown stuff he said maybe STD...Is HIV and Aids the only bad STDs? All others aren't a huge deal or are they?
We don't judge here in the STD forum.

OK everyone - calm down.
We don't know that it was made up, and it might be a valid question.
You might want to get tested for things like gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU, and you should let your partner know you had this symptom. If she has an std, it could really harm her right now, since she has a compromised immune system.

Thanks to the ones that actually sent me replies...I know I usually don't have it unprotected...Hell I was a virgin until 23...But no I have not been tested for an STD...Really the only side effect I ever had was the light brownish sperm but that went away after a week...So what kind of test should I get then? But no my partner was not undergoing chemo cause she didnt even find out she had the cancer until a month after we were together..
I don't think it was a good idea to have unprotected sex in the first place...
but what's done is done....
The only worry I would be concerned about of course if you or her had anything to give each other, have you been to the doctor since to get tested for std's?
You can't get cancer from having sex with someone going thru cancer....
The only thing that came to my mind was do you know if she was going through chemo or not?
You don't mention it.....if she was going thru chemo, was it IP chemo?
I was told if I were to have sex while going thru IP chemo, my partner should wear a condom.....I guess the chemo could be irritating.....
But if you are not having anymore symptoms since it has been 4 months you should just go to your doctor and get checked for a peace of mind....and wear a condom from now on!
You had unprotected sex. You could have picked up anything or you could have given her anything. Probably not ovarian cancer, though since cancer is generally not contagious
