Non sexual transmission of syphilis

Can syphilis be be passed non-sexually between close family members who may have had non-sexual skin to skin contact with infected household member. Or can syphylis be cought by sharing food (eating/biting after infected person), utensils, drinking cups, or playing the flute after infected person played? Please help. I am very concerned I could have passes the infection to my baby. My baby shows no symptoms, yet, I have shared my food with her, tested her bottle nipple with my mouth, and held her while we took a shower together, before I noticed the rash on my sides and stomach

No, I have not tested positive for Syphilis. I took a blood test yesterday and I am waiting for the results. What happened is almost 4 weeks after becoming physical with my boyfriend I developed a serious sore on my outer v-lips at the edge. It went away between 1 and 2 weeks later; however, as it was going away, I noticed a strange rash developing on my stomach and under my breasts. When it was just the sore, I assumed that he gave me herpes. I thought the rash was fungal; however it did not improve with anti-fungal treatment. I think it is something worse. I am scared. I have noticed a rash on my baby's knees. It doesn't look anything like mine; however, I am worried. I hope we are okay. Thanks for the reply.

Syphilis is aquired with direct contact with a syphilis sore. So non-sexual is very very very rare because most of the times sypilis is located at the gentials.

Have you tested positive for syphilis?
