painful urination

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for over ten months and we have been having sex for most of that time.  The last time we had sex was over two weeks ago. For like the last week it has burned when i urinate and i have noticed a slight discharge from my penis. Our relationship is completely exclusive as far as i know and i would like to know if this could possibly be something other than an STD or if you can get an STD without sexually contact.

If it is an STD how long do those symptoms take to appear after the time of infection?

Could be a non-STD UTI although those are uncommon in men under 40.

If it is an STD you could not have contracted it without sexual contact.

I suggest that you see your doctor and get tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and NGU.
