Oral Sex at Strip Clib

Three days I ago I made a big mistake. Was very intoxicated and received a blow job from a dancer at a strip club. I do not think protection was used. I have no noticeable  bumps, marks or lesions on my penis. Urinating and masterbating do not cause discomfort. However there is some general discomfort in my penis head and it is a little sore.  I am wondering 1) what are my risk levels for contracting a STI? 2) should I get tested? 3) how long should I wait before testing?  I am very nervous and want to get tested as soon as possible. Thanks for any information you might be able to share.

Receiving oral sex puts you at risk for gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, syphilis and genital herpes type 1 (if you don't already have oral herpes type 1).

Oral sex is lower risk than vaginal or anal sex.

You can test for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU at a week. You can test for syphilis at 6 weeks.

If you don't get any symptoms, I wouldn't bother testing for hsv1. You might already have it orally - 67% of the global population under 50 has it, and the test misses a full 30% of infections, so it's not all that reliable. If you get any sores or blisters, get in to a doctor within 48 hrs and get that cultured. Don't do anything to it - don't put any meds or creams on it, don't try to pop it, just go see a doctor.

Remember that your risks are pretty low. Most doctors don't think that one act of oral sex warrants testing, but if you have a regular partner or you're anxious, you can test for peace of mind.

Thanks for the prompt response.
You're welcome. :)
I am scheduled for STI testing this Friday but I also have pink eye and I’m using prescription eye drops. Polymyxin B sulfate and Trimethoprim ophthalmic solution.  Would this be considered an antibiotic that could result in a false negative STI test?  I am wondering if I should postpone my test until next week. Thanks.
Ouch - pink eye sucks. I hope you feel better.

Eye drops won't interfere with testing. It's only oral antibiotics that affect your whole body that would. However, if you still have any pink eye symptoms, definitely reschedule because that is very contagious.
Got tested today. One week after exposure. Was told I shouldn’t test before two weeks?
Are you in the UK?

The UK says 2 weeks. The US says a week. I don't know why there's a difference.

The chances of you getting anything from oral sex remains very low to start with. Try to remember that.
