Rubbed my penis against her anus

About 3 months back I engaged in the above mentioned activity with a sex worker. Also fingered her briefly and kissed a lot. What is my risk here? I was told to get tested for hep a, b & c and for syphillis as well at 3 months duration. Could I have contacted these diseases? Also I took some antibiotics, will those affect my rest results?

I took an ultrasound for that mild pain along the sides and back....it didn’t show any abnormality. What do you suggest? I’ll take other std tests tomorrow

I think you should continue to work with your doctors to find the source of your pain, but it's not related to an STD, as no STD would give you pain like that.

Hope you feel better soon!
Yeah, I understand that it can’t be STD but do u think it can be UTI and if it is so, then I’ve a few doubts.
- Can you get UTI by the mentioned activity?
- Also, if at all there’s UTI, will that get detected by a simple Sonography?
- Lastly, could it be gases or my anxiety?

A big thanks in advance for bearing with me.
UTIs can happen when e-coli (bacteria found in poop) get into the urinary tract. This could happen from your penis rubbing against her anus, but UTIs happen for lots of other reasons, and people who aren't sexually active get them, too.

No, UTIs aren't detected by imaging. They are detected when you give a urine sample and they check for bacteria, white and red blood cells, etc.

Yes, it could definitely be anxiety. I don't know if it's gases or not. This isn't my area, and I'm not a doctor.

Digressing a bit from UTI....I took some tests on the insistence of a doctor here...that of Hiv duo, hbsag, hcv, vdrl and hsv 1&2. All came negative. I know I wasn’t at risk for many of these but let’s just say I was...have I cleared the window? It’s been 3 months & 6 days post my exposure and took those antibiotics at 2 month mark for about a week. With the interference of those medications..am I clear for everything...even those which were not probable risks?

A big thanks in advance!

Depending on how long you rubbed there would determine your risk for herpes or HPV. If it was brief, like a few seconds, I wouldn't worry about herpes or HPV.

If it was longer, there is a possibility.

Balanitis is a common infection in men with foreskins. I wouldn't correlate that to any sexual activity. Virgins get that, too.

Did they do any testing or just guess about your pain and give you an antibiotic? Herpes, HPV and syphilis wouldn't give you pain like you describe. If they think it's related to a UTI or kidneys, you need to follow up on that. Untreated infections like that can lead to serious complications.

If you feel you must, test for herpes and syphilis now. Ask for a type specific IgG herpes test. I suspect they'll be negative.

Definitely follow up on the pain, though. That could be something far more serious and is unrelated to an STD.

Thanks a lot there. That back & side pain isn’t there anymore. The rubbing was maybe for a minute or so. Wouldn’t the antibiotics interfere with any results? And will the test taken now be conclusive?
Also, doctors are suggesting me tests regarding hepatitis, what about that?
The antibiotics might interfere with syphilis testing - how long have you been off them? They have different ways of testing for syphilis. Let your doctor know, and they can determine if you need to wait.

There is no risk here for any hepatitis. (Who are these doctors? They seem really unaware or overreactive.) Hep A is spread through fecal matter, but it's almost always in food. You didn't penetrate her anally, so I wouldn't worry about that at all. Hep B is found in body fluids - blood, semen, etc., like HIV, but you had no penetration, so no need to test. You may have also been vaccinated for that, so if you want to test for that to see if you have been, that's not a bad idea.

Hep C is transmitted only by blood. It's is almost always transmitted by sharing needles for drug use, and can be transmitted by unprotected anal sex, but that's not at all common. You didn't have that.

I see no reason for you to test for any heps. I wouldn't if it were me.
Thank you so much. I have stopped taking those antibiotics for about 3 weeks now. Also, what about herpes?
It's possible, but rubbing for a minute or so, the risk isn't high at all. I wouldn't worry, and see no reason to test unless you get blisters.

The antibiotics would only affect testing for bacterial STDs - gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis - and I see no reason for you to test for these. If you want to test to put your mind at ease, you should be fine now since you've been off them for a few weeks.

Hey, thanks for your reply.
Yea I rubbed at the anus opening.

But isn’t herpes or hepatitis conditions are a risk due to this activity?

Also, I had some minor rash type thing under my foreskin which was diagnosed as balanitis for which I was given a tube and the itch went away and the redness also lessened.

Also, I had some side & back pain for which doctor gave me an antibiotic amoxicillin. It was thought to be either UTI or unrelated calculi in kidney. Anyhow it went away. It was a month back. When should I test now if at all? Please answer all my questions and thanks again in advance.

Hi Just depends where you rubbed it. if you rubbed it at the anus opening that could be considerd a risk for syphilis but testing would no be recommened unless you develop any sores or painless bumps on your penis or if you have a long term partner.
