Found out I have Syphilis. In relationship I never cheated

I just found out that I have Syphilis. I have been in a relationship with my GF for 2 years now. My sex resume before dating her is not the best.Although i have kissed another woman while dating her(which my girls knows about), I have never had sex with another woman. About 2 years into the relationship we found out that we both have Syphilis because she missed her period and was not pregnant. I am absolutely sure that she did not cheat. Is it possible that i contracted it and had not had symptoms before dating her? She wants to believe me but of course there is still doubt in her mind

about 5-6 months into our 2 year relationship she started to get UTI's could that also be the cause of syphilis? She went to the doctor and the gave her some medicine for it. Clearly it didnt kill the syphilis. I need help i love this woman and fighting trying to keep my relationship.

Well it was not really a symptom. She missed her period and her pregnancy test was negative. She went to the doctor and found out she had syphilis which can affect the cycle. I only had that one symptom of "dry skin" before her and i started dating which i realize now was most likely a chancre. Im just glad we both found out to take care of it

So a year later she gets a symptom. Which prompt her and I to find out. Wow. STDs are crazy. I got to be more careful. I had one this whole time and never knew. I feel terrible. I hope she can forgive me she pretty much knows i wouldnt cheat on her.

Well if the canker or rash showed up when dating current gf in 2013 then yes could have given it to her then.

No those are not symptoms of syphilis 2 years later

i started dating my current girlfriend August 2013. A couple months before I started dating her I had unprotected sex with another female. Now could I have caught it then and gave it to my girlfriend and she just started seeing symptoms September 2015? I have never cheated neither has she.

I asked this because I know I would have to have sex with while having a chancre to give her the std.

Well you transmit syphilis through the canker which shows up at 21-90 days and then the rash sometime there after.

Right. So to verify(i dont think it was answered) it is possible to have Syphilis for years and pass it on not knowing?

You could have gotten it from someone else. Can't say exactly when.

Not exactly because although i am sure she did not cheat. I just wanted to be sure that it could very well happened the way i described and not her cheating. So it is possible so have syhpilis that long and not have solid symptoms and pass it on to a partner who has symptoms a year later?

I also realized a year before dating her i had dry skin was red on my penis shaft before and just treated it with gold bond and it healed on its own. Now that i think about it im sure it had to be syphilis because it was weeks after having sex with a woman.
