How did I get chlamydia?

Hi there. 32 year old male here.

I receive unprotected oral sex (I don't give) and am the insertive partner in anal sex with other men but NEVER unprotected.

I recently got diagnosed with chlamydia. I'm seeing a lot of people say in here that you can't get chlamydia from oral sex as the receiver, but I did.

Please explain?

It's true there are a lot of expert that say that Chlamydia cannot be transmitted through oral sex, but there is a theoretical risk, but it would be abnormal. Are you sure you didn't have any unprotected intercourse previously ? Even if it was a long time ago, maybe the answer is there.

I had unprotected sex a long time ago (like years ago) but got screened and was clear and have never had unprotected anal sex since.

I also got symptoms of chlamydia which forced me to get tested (and symptoms usually show up 3-10 days after infection, not years, is that correct?). I thought I had a UTI but to my shock it was chlamydia.
